The Los Angeles Angels Of Anaheim faced off against the Tampa Bay Rays yesterday at Tropicana Field with the Angels securing the victory 6 to 3. Angels pitcher Scott Kazmir (5.84 ERA) got the win, while Jeff Niemann (4.48 ERA) took the loss for the Rays. Scott Kazmir went 5 innings for the Angels, allowed 6 hits, one home run and one earned run with 2 walks and 4 strikeouts. Also pitching for the Angels was Matt Palmer (4.99), and Michael Kohn (2.60). The Rays’s starter Jeff Niemann went 4.1 innings, allowed 6 hits, 2 home runs and 5 earned runs with 3 walks and 5 strikeouts.
